COVID-19 Changes Jail Operations
The COVID-19 pandemic is necessitating many changes in all facets of society. The Court of the 12th Judicial Circuit was forced to modify its procedures for hearing cases. Likewise, the Audrain County Jail has had to adapt to this fluid situation. For the safety of citizens, our staff and the inmate population, the Audrain County Jail, effective immediately, has canceled all civilian entry into the Jail facility that is not required to maintain Jail operations. This includes canceling all visitation for friends, family, A.A., N.A., Jail Ministry, etc. The public lobby entrance to the Sheriff’s Office and Jail will remain open at this time. This will remain in effect until further notice.
